Grandmaster

kimbio Grandmaster Kim is a 7th Degree Black belt and has over 46 years of experience in the martial arts. Having trained in Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, Judo and various forms of weapons, his abilities are as versatile as they are precise. Grandmaster Kim began his teaching career in Korea, instructing students in the art of Tae Kwon Do at the same school he was taught in. Since 1986 he has been teaching in the greater Los Angeles area. For many of those years he gained the experience of creating the most effective teaching curriculum in Tae Kwon Do and is able to share it with the general public. It has been more than 30 years and thru the integration of his many resources and knowledge, Grandmaster Kim began developing his own Martial Arts style. He desired to teach a Martial Art that is thorough, realistic, and strong. It was from that desire that his martial art program grew and became committed to inspiring and helping students to learn the art of Tae Kwon Do. As much as teaching the most effective Tae Kwon Do techniques was important, Grandmaster Kim also wanted his students to understand the philosophy of his teachings. Being humble, gentle, strong, confident, and having great discipline will allow any practitioner to overcome their doubts, not just in training, but also throughout their daily lives. Since 1996, Double Dragon Tae Kwon Do School, located in Culver City California, has been successfully teaching Tae Kwon Do to practitioners of all ages as well as from various walks of life. Double Dragon Tae Kwon Do’s system is built on a consistent curriculum in teaching excellent skills and abilities recognized by the World Tae Kwon Do Federation. Grandmaster Kim has extensive experience as a competitor and has never stopped his training in Tae Kwon Do, as well as other styles of Martial Arts. It is thru Grandmaster Kim’s knowledge and experience that Double Dragon’s school mission has been developed. “To help each student discover their own inner strength and to take pride and honor in the traditions of Tae Kwon Do.”
